Cookie and tracker policy

Courtesy translation. This English text is provided for convenience only. The French version of this page is the binding one; in case of any discrepancy, the French text prevails.

Preamble

This policy describes the use of cookies and other trackers on sho-slave.xxx (hereafter "the Site"). The Site is an adult's personal and artistic project, dedicated to documenting BDSM, bondage, latex and chastity. Its content is strictly reserved for an adult audience (18 and over).

The Site is non-commercial: no sale of goods or services, no transaction and no payment is offered or processed on it. Accordingly, no tracker serving a commercial, advertising or conversion-tracking purpose is deployed.

This policy applies without prejudice to the Site's Privacy Policy and Legal Notice.

Principle: the strict minimum of trackers

The Site is designed around a principle of technical restraint and data minimisation. It uses only the strict minimum of trackers necessary for it to work.

In concrete terms:

  • No cookie is set on visitors' devices in order to browse, or to read the blog, the gallery or the documentation.
  • No advertising cookie, no third-party tracker and no embedded social network serving a tracking purpose is present.
  • Audience measurement is carried out without cookies and anonymously (see below).

A "cookie" is a small file placed on your device (computer, tablet, phone) when you visit a site. The notion of "tracker" is broader and covers any technology that allows information to be read from or written to your device, or that allows you to be tracked.

Cookieless audience measurement (self-hosted eTrack)

Traffic to the Site is measured using eTrack, a statistics solution self-hosted by the publisher on their own servers, within the European Union.

This audience measurement:

  • sets no cookie on your device;
  • is anonymous: it does not allow you to be identified, nor your journey to be reconstructed under your name;
  • does not track visitors across different sites and uses no advertising identifier;
  • collects only aggregate statistics (for example: number of page views, most-visited pages, device type, general provenance), for the purpose of understanding the audience and improving the Site;
  • neither shares nor resells this data to third parties.

Any IP addresses processed in order to produce these statistics are not retained in a way that would allow visitors to be identified.

Because this audience measurement is strictly anonymous, with no cookie and no tracking device, and because it serves the sole internal purpose of counting traffic, it falls among the mechanisms for which prior consent is not legally required, in accordance with the applicable guidelines on audience-measurement trackers.

Upstream network: the Site is served through the Cloudflare content delivery network (CDN) and proxy, which may implement technical security and availability measures (protection against attacks, filtering, caching). These measures relate to the security and proper operation of the Site, not to advertising tracking.

Strictly necessary cookies (private administration area only)

The only cookie that may be set is set exclusively within the Site's private administration area, reserved for the publisher, in order to manage the publisher's login session (keeping authentication alive for the duration of a working session).

This cookie:

  • never concerns visitors to the Site; it is set only when an authorised person logs in to the private administration area;
  • is strictly necessary for the secure operation of that area (purpose: security and session management);
  • has no advertising, statistical or profiling purpose;
  • is exempt from consent as a tracker strictly necessary for the provision of a service expressly requested by the user.

No session, authentication or preference cookie is therefore set during a simple public visit to the Site.

No advertising cookies and no third-party tracking

The publisher confirms the complete absence, on the Site's public pages, of:

  • advertising cookies or trackers;
  • profiling cookies or behavioural targeting;
  • third-party trackers such as ad networks, commercial analytics platforms or data brokers;
  • tracking social-media buttons or third-party tracking pixels;
  • any mechanism for the resale or sharing of browsing data for marketing purposes.

As the Site is non-commercial, none of these technologies has any reason to be present, and none is implemented.

How to manage or refuse cookies in your browser

Since no cookie is set during public browsing, no action on your part is necessary to visit the Site in full confidentiality.

You nonetheless retain control over cookies and trackers at all times through your browser settings, which in particular let you accept them, refuse them, delete them or be warned before any is set. The procedures are given in your browser's help, for example:

  • Google Chrome: Settings → Privacy and security → Cookies and other site data.
  • Mozilla Firefox: Settings → Privacy & Security → Cookies and Site Data.
  • Microsoft Edge: Settings → Cookies and site permissions.
  • Safari (macOS / iOS): Settings → Safari → Privacy & Security.

You may also turn on your browser's private browsing mode or use dedicated extensions.

Blocking certain trackers could, generally speaking, affect how third-party sites work; as far as this Site is concerned, refusing cookies does not affect your visit in any way, since no cookie is required in order to browse.

Other data that may be collected

Independently of cookies, certain data may be collected only when you provide it voluntarily:

  • your e-mail address, if you sign up to the newsletter (sign-up uses double opt-in, with confirmation on your part);
  • the content of the messages you send through the contact form.

The Site offers no public account. The processing of this data is detailed in the Privacy Policy. For any question, a single contact channel is provided: [email protected].

Responsibility and scope of the Site

The Site is a personal, artistic and documentary undertaking, with no commercial purpose. The publisher implements reasonable security and confidentiality measures but cannot be held liable for trackers that may be set by third-party sites to which links may point, nor for the visitor's own device or browser settings.

Updates to this policy

This cookie policy may be amended at any time, in particular to take account of technical, editorial or regulatory developments. The applicable version is the one published on the Site at the time of your visit. You are invited to consult it regularly.
